Huachuma Wisdom exists so that people who are curious about this plant have somebody to talk to about it.
Every Month
One subject a month, with a guest teacher, and the questions the group brings, which regularly take over the call.
A Live Session
We meet online one Monday a month, for ninety minutes. Each month takes a different subject, with time for questions and discussion.
Video Replays
Every session is recorded. Miss one and you catch up, and joining now brings the video of all six months of the 2026 season straight away.
The Group
Community calls each month, held separately from the teaching, and a member chat that runs the whole time. Connect with others who share a love for these cacti.

The 2027 Season
Six live calls, one a month, 4:30 to 6:00pm Arizona time. A guest teacher every month, with each month’s teacher and subject announced as they are confirmed.

Practical Matters
The legal landscape in the United States and abroad, led by Hamid Jabbar, a former attorney. Ethical cultivation, and what to think about before engaging with this plant at all.
Month six
Going Further
Minerals and the body. Ethics for people who hold space for others. Where the preservation work goes next, and what the group thinks of it.
Who It Is For
You do not need to be an expert and you do not need to have taken it.
Curious. Looking to understand Huachuma properly: the history, the botany, and the context that is genuinely hard to find online.
Practitioners. People with direct experience who want community, and who want the background behind what they are already doing.
Growers. People who care about the plant and want to grow it well. Some of those doing the most for these cacti have never taken one.

Hamid is the Founder and Chairman of the Huachuma Foundation, an Arizona nonprofit corporation, and a former attorney. He guides the six months alongside the rest of the team and a guest teacher each month.
